The Clinical Research Assistant I is responsible for coordinating, implementing and completing clinical research studies or clinical trials by recruiting patients, assisting in budget and documents preparation, in-servicing research teams, obtaining patient consents, educating patients, conducting study procedures, collecting data, keeping records, and performing supervised data analysis..
The Speech Research Laboratory (SRL) at the Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for children has an exciting new opening for a full-time Research Assistant (RA). The RA will assist in all phases of our research projects and will also support our voice banking laboratory service that provides personalized synthetic voices for children and adults throughout the English-speaking world who use speech generating devices (SGDs).
Candidates must have a bachelors or masters degree with a strong background in speech science, acoustic phonetics, or closely related area, experience with speech laboratory software and instrumentation, excellent general computer skills (ideally experience with Linux or Mac OS X terminal commands), and a strong desire to help improve the lives of children with communication disorders.
