As an Area Team Leader /Core Engineering Lead

The Area Team Lead (ATL) is a key leadership position that is 100% dedicated to developing our people by creating and improving high performance teams, partnering with Product Owners and Area Product Owners to ensure the right balance of skills and people. The ATL will work very closely with the Product Owners (PO) and Area Product Owners (APO) to understand the resource requirements both short and long term, how the team is performing and understanding the team development needs to ensure we continue to re-tool and upskill our people. The ATL will be responsible for:

+ Managing 30 - 70 people in a flat organization

+ Managing, Coaching and Developing people:

+ Development Planning

+ Training

+ Performance management

+ Provides Real-time feedback

+ Performs compensation planning and management

+ Promotion recommendations and substantiation

+ Leverage measures and data for opportunities to optimize team(s) and their performance

+ Writes and delivers reviews, gathering necessary feedback from APO's, agile team members and others via Insight360

+ Is able to observe team in agile ceremonies without interfering and influencing their delivery

+ Hold Regular check in's with all team members (regular 1:1's with all team members)

+ Determine strategic workforce composition

+ Recruiting and hiring

+ Succession Planning

+ Build teams that succeed by continually assessing the product needs and aligning team members with the appropriate skills

+ Perform resourcing/capacity management and clarity forecasting

+ Perform Day to day people management (e.g. Onboarding/off boarding activities, OOO management)

+ Culture Management

+ Culture change agent

+ Foster diversity & inclusion

+ Creates a customer obsessed centric environment for team and contributors

+ Removes impediments for team

+ Minimum 2 years in Agile

+ Minimum of 5 or more years' in IT Organizational Management

+ Experience coaching and mentoring

+ Has experience in Agile delivery, Agile at scale or within large organization and Agile transformation

+ Undergraduate degree Business or Engineering or related field.

+ Other technical certifications or equivalent (preferred)
