Position Title: Field Operations Technician- 4N
This position is responsible for maintaining the physical Tower Assets in a given geographic area (New Mexico). Performing repair tasks or overseeing contractors. Ensuring regulatory compliance for our lighting and safety systems. Respond to incidents and tickets assigned to this given geographic area. This position encompasses significant local travel in a company assigned vehicle. This position reports to many internal departments and directly interfaces with multiple people working multiple projects. Supports internal and external customers as it relates to the area of responsibility. Act as a back up to other technicians in a larger geographical area. Acts as a point of contact to the Landlords and Crown Castle Customers.
Essential Job Functions Ensure structural integrity and regulatory compliance for all assigned assets. Perform periodic inspections in accordance with company policies, standards and procedures. Identify and ensure that major inspection discrepancies are reported to management, corrected in a timely manner and that the field data they collect is entered into Crown Castles systems. Collect physical asset data in an efficient and cost-effective manner and follow standards related to getting this data into the database. Review data associated with assigned sites on a regular basis and report errors or discrepancies to management. Work effectively cross-functionally to identify and resolve compliance issues. Respond quickly and effectively to resolve NOTAM, monitoring system issues in accordance with company established policies, standards and procedures. Comply with quality assurance programs as required. Keep Tower Operations Manager well informed regarding operational and maintenance issues associated with their assigned sites. Maintain and communicate a site problem list within trouble ticketing system including the resolution plans for each. Maintain documentation and maintenance records for each assigned facility. Monitor and report material usage in order to maintain adequate truck supplies. Provide immediate support service during emergency issues and incident response situations.
Education/Certifications/Licensure High School diploma or equivalent Associates degree, two-year technical degree or equivalent military/special electronics training experience strongly preferred A valid drivers license required
Experience/Minimum Requirements Two (2) or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields: telecommunications, two-way radio, paging, or microwave radio is required
