The HR Director for IDD (Innovation & Development Division) US is based out of Newark, DE serving as a Member of the Management team of GM&T US, R&D US and is part of the IDD HR team.
The position covers several entities: Air Liquide Advanced Technologies US (ALATUS), American Air Liquide (AAL) and Air Liquide Helium America Inc (ALHAI) which total to support approximately 400 employees.

In close relation with your Business stakeholders, you define and implement the HR priorities for the various entities and activities in the US, while looking for and measuring efficiency and results, taking into account the various needs and requests from the Business.
You make sure that all operational HR Group processes are reaching a good level of maturity in all entities: mobility, TCL, performance reviews and career interviews, leadership development. For some of them, you will participate in local meetings with other HR in the US, for others you will participate in HR meetings organized at IDD level, for example iHP HR reviews with R&D and with GM&T.
You will lead and accompany new HR projects, you are in charge of employee relations management with the help of shared services experts in the US.
You know how to be a driving force in transformation and a leader in the management of HR projects around motivation, engagement, leadership, improving the visibility of the teams and of their achievements.
As HR Director, committed to bring the best in class resources in all vacant positions “right people at the right place”. And contribute to the identification and the development of our iHPs within this scope and outside.
Accompany the growth and transformation of the various activities : Biogas, Advanced Separation, Advanced Cryogenics, Space, by attracting the best profile in the open positions and developing their competencies and leadership.
Propose communication actions such as employer branding image of these two entities in the US together with the communication team and other IDD teams.
Build a view by entity and by activity aimed at identifying key competences and ensuring their renewal through targeted and relevant recruitment. Reinforce diversity thanks to variety of profiles in the teams.
Accompany the development of each member of the HR team, both in terms of follow-up of projects and assignments, and in the take-up of autonomy and transversal responsibilities within the team (for example HR reporting, communication...)
Act as a point of entry and information sharing for the other divisions of IDD being connected with HR teams and Managers in Sassenage, Shanghai , other R&D centers and ALIZENT.
Continue to build a robust training plan for all employees in the US and recruit with a strong staffing strategy : building a strong network among all HR communities : such as other HRDs in the US and other HRD in IDD outside of US. The objective is to manage a mix of internal mobility and external recruitment, especially candidates with less than 3 years of professional experience.
The expected profile:
Given the international dimension of the position, an excellent level of English is required and knowledge of other European languages such as French will be appreciated.
The person should have at least 10 years of professional experience, having already successfully managed a team.
Demonstrated ability to handle various subjects in a very diverse environment simultaneously and dealing with difficult topics with people at various levels in the company.
Capable of positioning him/herself in a Leadership team and contributing with a visible added value on all business topics with HR aspects.
Strong responsibility on respecting the HR policies of the Group while understanding the specificities of the US. In close cooperation with Finance and Business, he/she is in charge of controlling the headcount and personnel expenses.
